Importance of Perspective
I strive to show how my values and authentic sense of creativity lead to impactful results within all forms of design - even artistic.
Lost Explorer
2024 // Mixed Media Macro Photography
This series explores curiosity and isolation through an architectural model. A figure moves toward a tubular form, like an iceberg, much lies unseen, while shadows, layers, and darkness suggest the unknown. Movement, lighting, and repetition create direction, and shifts in perspective evoke desertion and loneliness. Blurring reality and construction, the work challenges perceptions of scale and space, prompting viewers to reconsider their relationship with environment and emotion.
Leak
Water colour and ink on cartridge, with stitching and print transfers.
Explores the effects of overprotection and control in a child’s life, showing how excessive restriction can lead to rebellion. This is expressed through stitching and the spontaneous movement of watercolour on the page.
The relationship between an authority figure and child is becoming more and more interesting these days. With parenting styles changing and thus ultimately future generations behavioural patterns. Psychology and understanding human relationships are critical to effective, well everything. Perspective, psycho exploration and brain function are critical aspects to marketing & design that I am lucky enough to of sparked an interest in a long time ago.
Death By Consumer
Oil paint on wooden rat traps.
An artwork depicting four species facing extinction due to human activities, highlighting our impact on the planet’s biodiversity. Painted on rat traps, tools commonly used to kill rats, the piece confronts viewers with the stark reality that human actions threaten other species’ survival, drawing a parallel to the painful and destructive nature of rat traps.
Was one of my first artworks exploring unique canvas forms, reflected in my professional work for my appreciation for tactile textures within UI design.
Pew Pew!
2018 // Acrylic and pencil on Craft Card with synthetic stitching.
Explores a child’s inability to protect oneself. As though a flower was to be threatened by a gun.
Made during my final year studying at Queensland Academy of Creative Industries - the desire was sparked to expose concerning truths through my creative work.
